Developed in-house, the traction and stability control is like a good co-pilot, helping when necessary but otherwise being quiet, never disturbing your driving fun. If desired, it can be switched off completely.
The Electronic Limited Slip Differential (E-LSD) controls the power transfer to each front wheel. It improves steering stability in high speed turns.
Pump up the volume. Select different levels of exhaust sound- relatively restrained in normal mode, to the crackling "after-burn" growl in N mode with added fuel detonations, like a rally car.
Combining radar and camera data, the FCA system autonomously activates the brakes when it detects dangerous and sudden braking by the car ahead or pedestrians on the road.
A driver protection feature which helps monitor driving patterns in order to detect reckless or fatigued driving and prevent potential accidents. The system detects various vehicle signals and if it detects inattentive driving patterns, an audible sound and message on the display panel will bring this to the drivers attention.
LKA provides steering intervention to assist the vehicle to stay in the centre of the lane. When the vehicle strays from the intended lane without indicators being activated, an audible and visual warning will be sounded.
The Kona N features Lane Following Assist (LFA). When activated, it keeps the car centered in it's lane at speeds between 0 and 180km/h on highways and city streets.
LED high and low beam headlights automatically adjust to meet the needs of the environment and surrounds allowing you to concentrate on the road ahead whilst driving at night.
Using two radar sensors in the lower rear bumper, the system warns you of traffic in the blind spot area. Should you set the turn indicator in such a situation, it will sound an acoustic alert and break to prevent collision.
When reversing out of areas with low visibility the system not only warns the driver if vehicles approach from the side- it also applies the brakes automatically.

Induction technology lets you recharge your compatible smartphone without connecting a cable, and an alert is triggered should you ever leave your phone behind. (Compatable smart phones only).
N Grin Control system
At the push of a button, the N Grin Control System gives you the choice of five distinct drive modes to match your mood.
The different modes changes the character of the car. Adjusting the parameters of the engine, suspension, steering, electronic stability control (ESC), exhaust sound, N corner caving differential (e-LSD), transmission.
